VICTORIA TRANSPORT FUND

The Victorian Transport Fund has been established to support the funding of transport infrastructure projects. They hired me to create a logo that reflected the fund’s status as a government entity. They wanted to capture a formal feeling, of trust and benefits for the community. Needing the logo in a hurry, I completed this project within their two day time frame.

BRANDING

For the logo design I took visual cues from the idea of a map. The ‘map’ has some roads within the icon, that are in the shape of VTF, the acronym for the Victorian Transport Fund. I added a triangular shape that could represent a building, a park or additional map element, as well as highlighting the letter V, to harmonise with the Victorian State Government logo.

COLOURS

I chose a conservative dark blue and steel grey to give a formal, government and technical atmosphere. Adding a friendly green colour lends some human/community feeling to the logo. Green is also a 'go' colour and a traffic light colour, emphasising the transport aspect.
